| As a peptide,apelin is the ligand of APJ. Apelin/APJ is important in the cardiovascular system for it participates in the
patho-physiological course of the hypertension, coronary heart disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation,et al. In this article, the
biological effects of apelin and its role in several cardiovascular diseases are summarized. |
