| The integrin family is one of the important types of cell adhesion molecules which mainly mediates the adhesion of
cells and the extracellular matrix. It is suggested that the expression of integrins should be relative to the invasion and the metastisis of
tumor cells. The integrin alpha-v-beta-3 is an important molecule in the integrins family. The expression of integrin alpha-v-beta 3 in vascular endothelial
cells plays an important role of the invasion in tumor cells and vascularization. To control the expression of integrin alpha-vbeta-3 can obviously
inhibit the invasion of tumor and the vascularization. Therefore, it is indicated that the exploration of the molecular regulation
mechanisms of integrin alpha-v-beta-3 could provide a new therapeutic target for tumor. |
