Objective:To study the form, number and distribution of CD11c positive cells in the finger tissues of neonates and adults. Methods:Autopsy samples of ring finger tissues of seven neonates and five adults were stained with the method of immunohistochemistry stained with CD11c, which were then observed by light microscope and with statistical analysis.Results:CD11c+ cells and processes were colored with brown, which were different in sizes and shapes with their nucleus round or ellipse and with their processes different in length and thickness, which also can be connected with each other. CD11c+ cells at scattering or focal or band- like distribution could be seen in finger tissues, including the surrounding of epidermal pinning processes and in the branching of vessels and nerves. CD11c+ cells at scattering distribution could also be seen in adventitia and capsule tissues of Pacinian corpuscles. The expression ratio of CD11c+ cells in neonates group is (31.0± 9.4) %, which is, higher than that of adults group (6.0± 2.7) %(P<0.01).Conclusion:CD11c molecule is likely to be the periodic markers in the cell differentiation process of the finger skin tissue in human, the decreasing of CD11c expression in human finger skin is related to the age growth.
