Objective: To observe the effect of neodymium laser-assisted periodontal basic treatment on patients with stage III-C periodontitis, the changes in subgingival flora structure, periodontal markers, gingival fluid alkaline phosphatase (ALP), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and prostaglandin E2 (PGE 2) levels in patients. Methods: According to the random number table method, 76 patients with stage III-C periodontitis admitted to our hospital from November 2021 to May 2022 were divided into control group (n=38, periodontal basic treatment) and study group (n =38, periodontal basic treatment combined with neodymium laser). The periodontal indexes, subgingival flora structure and levels of ALP, IL-1β and PGE2 in gingival crevicular fluid were detected and compared between two groups. Results: Compared with control group, study group had lower clinical attachment loss (CAL), probing depth (PD), sulcus bleeding index (SBI), plaque index (PLI), treponema denticola, tannerella forsythia, proportion of porphyromonas gingivalis, ALP, IL-1β and PGE2 levels in gingival crevicular fluid after treatment (P<0.05).Conclusion:Neodymium laser-assisted periodontal basic treatment for patients with stage III-C periodontitis, which can effectively improve the periodontal index and subgingival flora structure, and regulate the levels of ALP, IL-1β and PGE2 in gingival crevicular fluid. |
